Cookies in a Jar Gift: White Chocolate Chip Macadamia Nut
This easy to make gift nets delicious homemade white chocolate chip cookies with macadamia nuts. Just print out the tag and tie one on at these pretty jars are ready for giving.

Equipment
1 quart (32 ounce) jar with lid

Ingredients
1 ¼
cup
flour
⅛
teaspoon
salt
½
teaspoon
baking soda
½
teaspoon
baking powder
½
cup
brown sugar
⅓
cup
sugar
1
cup
white chocolate chips
¾
cup
macadamia nuts
chopped
To make the cookies you will also need:
½
cup
butter
(1 cube)
1
egg
1
teaspoon
vanilla extract
Instructions
To assemble the cookies in a jar:
Whisk together flour, salt, baking soda, and baking powder. Place in the bottom of the jar.
Measure brown sugar into jar on top of flour mixture. Add white sugar, macadamia nuts, and white chocolate in that order.
Seal and attach gift tag.
To make the cookies:
Preheat oven to 350ºF.
Pour contents of jar into a mixing bowl; stir to blend.
Whisk egg, softened butter, and vanilla together in a separate small bowl.
Add wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
Form cookie balls and place on a baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until edges begin to brown.
Cool on baking sheet for 5 minutes then transfer cookies to a wire rack.
