Combine all ingredients together in a mixing bowl.
3 cups diced fresh strawberries, ½ red onion, 1 jalapeño, ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro, 2 limes, Pinch salt
Cover and refrigerate for one hour prior to serving, to allow the flavors to meld.
Serve with tortilla or pita chips.
Store leftover strawberry salsa in an airtight container in the refrigerator for several days.
Notes
This salsa is a great accompaniment to grilled chicken or fish. For an appetizer with some oomph, serve this alongside goat cheese and crunchy crackers.
Strawberries are consistently listed on the Dirty Dozen list put out by the Environmental Working Group, so if you don’t grow your own, opt for organic berries.
