You know how you tend to get tired of your own cooking? Yeah. I cook at home a LOT. But sometimes I’m just so bored with our regular menu. I’ve been actively working to add some different flavors to the dinner table, and sauces are one of my tricks.

Making this Homemade Sriracha Mayo

tl;dr – it’s easy! I mean, seriously easy. If you can measure and stir, you’ve got this.

The ingredients

Mayonnaise – As you’d guess, mayo is the base for this recipe. Use your favorite brand or try your hand and making my 60-second homemade mayonnaise

Sour cream – Surprise! I like to cut the mayonnaise with sour cream. It gives the sauce a creamier consistency. If you’re dairy free, though? By all means use mayo instead.

Sriracha – Doesn’t everyone keep a bottle of this multi-purpose hot sauce in their pantry? Prefer to make your own? Try this recipe

Seasonings – These are totally optional but for extra flavor try adding a bit of garlic powder and dry ranch seasoning. You can make your own ranch seasoning, too. Try this recipe.

Ready to make it?

Get out the measuring cups and spoons and a small mixing bowl. Measure all of the ingredients into the bowl and…stir. That’s it. You’ve finished the spicy mayo recipe. Such little effort for a huge burst of flavor!

Serving

My usual tacos are just that much better with cilantro sauce. Fresh fish pairs nicely with peach salsa. And this spicy mayo? It’s good for dipping chicken tenders, roasted okra, adding to fish tacos, or serving with sushi. It also makes a nice sauce for poke.

I like this dipping sauce! I’ve used it on every thing from tacos and chips to pulled pork sandwiches, sloppy joes and Mac n cheese. I would dunk anything in this stuff.
